Yes, you are correct, the admin did a mistake and confuse you with a spammer, but if you own a "DIGA-CONSULT" as you said, I see your profile email, why don't ask for training and support to your seller ?
About 7-8 years ago when I bought my original diga, I learned a lot from the Diga support !!! They answered every question very fast and better than anyone else. |

If you are sure that your Diga is original then you can contact dashfixer.com for example. They will have to check and see if your device is original or not, before they help you out. As for the powering up an instrument cluster on the bench and see if the numbers have changed, it's almost always possible but you will have to find the wiring diagram by yourself because it's not something that you get in the Diga's manual. On CAN based Audi/VWs if you power it up on the bench, nothing will be shown on the display, until you wake up the can bus by for example pressing the trip button; only then you will see the mileage. As for shorting oscillators or so-called crystals you can solder a piece of wire or use small clips to join the two end of it together.

Be cool man
If he have fooling you to sold a fake diga, maybe he really needs money
and when you bought it from him, you help him in his money problem
who knows if one of his family have a sick and he need money to buy some medicine?
Power up on the bench is means to put a power in dash while it is on you bench to see the mileage of dash
Joining the crystal when reading or programming will not destroy you dash
it is better to join it to reaad a good dump so dont worry to join that crystal
but of course you need to remove the jumper after you finish
