zak Member Joined: 16 Apr 2008 Posts: 67	Posted: Wed Sep 03, 2008 10:03 am    Post subject: : 1998 mx5 can not read chip remove the paint from the chip, all pins must be free of paint ! Try again. Try other ports (Port 0, 1, 2) If it wont read (with the current mileage) - desolder this chip.
