Guest	Posted: Wed Apr 23, 2008 1:05 am    Post subject: without crystals hi everyone, I'm using the diga programmer without joining the contacts of the crystals. It is working pretty well, but is it harmful??? Or must I join the contacts of the crystals???

Commonwealth, Quezon City Philippines	Posted: Wed Apr 23, 2008 2:32 pm    Post subject: : without crystals joining the crystal to read/ write the eeprom is just to avoid the crystal from oscillating when the +5v aplied to the circuit to put the MCU in off state this is for better reading of eeprom datasheet This is to avoid the MCU from generating unwanted code upon reading the eeprom content for some dash you do not need to join them depending the class of circuit for some nissan dash you do not need to remove the eeprom The pin1 of programming Pad is the oscilator on/off pin and need to connect in ground(negative side) to off the oscillator see the picture _________________
