Hello, I drive a 2001 Nissan Maxima GLE and spoke with a number of individuals who claimed Asian cars were much harder to work with and required removal of the instrument panel in order to correct the mileage. I just wanted to confirm whether or not this is correct.

Second, what is a reasonable price range I can expect to pay for having this service done?

Asian Car with eeprom memory is easy to do with eeprom clip or back connection
it is also easy to taking out the cluster from the car and majority of this model has no immobilizer in dash eeprom

for me My price for doing this is from 100 USD (4,000 PHP) up, depending on a sales value of car

regards
