I just bought an Ebay usb VAG cable with VAG software. here's the link to the item http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=140285454075 I've tried using it on my 1998 Audi A4 1.8T manual FWD. My Gauge cluster has the part number VDO 8D0190A. I keep getting the error message saying "k-line grounded" and cannot find ECU. There are 3 versions of the VAG software included, 2.2, 2.4 and 2.5. Which one is compatible with my car and what version is my ECU? Please help me out, I'm kind of new at this. Thanks!

But does the K-line ground mean there is something physically wrong with my cable? or is it compatibility issue with the vag-tacho software & my car?
