I have an Audi A8 3 litre TDI Quattro, late 2005 facelifted model and have been trying to correct the mileage. I have already purchased a VAG Cable and software exactly as this: http://www.talktomycar.co.uk/products/mileage/mj081.htm I connect ok and log into the cars system no problem, i can even pull up the odeometer correction sectiona nd it correctly reads the current mileage. When i enter a new value of mileage, it says that it has updated correctly but the mileage never changes on the dash. I have tried disconecting the battery and performing the change but to no avail. If this is not the correct cable/software that i have bought, can anyone point me in the direction of a cable and software that will do the job guaranteed, and i have already spend a packet on trying! If not, is there anyone in the West Midlands UK that can do this at a price? Hope someone can help.

With this one, you can't do nothing to change the mileage on your car. You have to know the mileage is stored in the dash and also in the ECU on your car. The tools you need is very expensive and it's not interested for you to buy it if you don't work in dash programming. It's better for you to find somebody for paying and can change your mileage. That are not only cables, its much more than that! Its a complete machine which was developed for that job! where are you from? What are your intentions? Do you want to become a dash fixer, or do you only want to fix that car? if its only that car, you can come to our garage in Austria/Germany We'll fix it for you. fxs
