Guest	Posted: Thu Apr 06, 2006 7:36 pm    Post subject: mileage correction bmw e46 I've heard a lot of saying about used E46 BMW's exported to other countries that have their mileage reduced. Is it possible to reduce the milage of a E46? i.e. set mileage from 80000 to 30000. How difficult is to do that? And if it's done, how can you find out the REAL value without any BMW service history?

The mileage is stored in thecluster, the LCM (light control module) and the EWS, which is the immobilzer of the vehicle. All modules have to be program. And if it's done, it´s not comprehensible and you can´t find out the real value. Regards, Nick
