Yoda Guest	Posted: Wed Oct 05, 2005 4:38 pm    Post subject: W209, CLK200 Y2003 hello: can someone tell me how to reset the milleage on this car and if it is just the clsuter that i need to reset?. Recently i change my cluster from miles to km and somehow the milleage is all screwed up. Thanks.

If you swicth back to Miles, what happens? Anyway, to properly correct the mileage you have to adjust the mileage in the key module (aka Electronic Ignition Starter) and in the instrument cluster. If you lower the value in the cluster only the EIS will overwrite as soon as it is connected to the car. Now, if you wanna do the cluster only you can reflash it so it does not expect any communication signal from the cluster; in other words your programmed value will not be overwritten by the EIS. But the original or old value in the EIS will still be readable by the manufacturer OEM scanner (Star Diagnosis) used by MB dealers. Serge
