Volvo S80 Models 1999-2002
Turn ignition switch to position 1.
Press and hold "day counter reset button".
Turn ignition switch to position 2.
Continue holding day counter for approx. 10 seconds
After SRL flashes, release day counter button.
Should hear "beep-beep" to confirm command accepted.

I have a Volvo 2000 S80 2.9L (US version). I am unable tp locate in the manual any disussion about a "day counter reset button". Can you tell me where this is located?

I am attempting to reset that bloody service light which illuminates every several thousand miles. Almost a perfect automobile with the exception of these small annoyances. Thanks!
