remove eeprom
hello itay,
your question all newbies make that question ( like i make ) if you look at the forum you see a lot of that doubts.
the most safety way to work is desolder all eeproms and read save and adjust, and then solder again.
if you put clip it could jump could not read etc, if you desolder you don´t have no more problems.
if you spend 100 € you could buy a air station and try at hold things to desolder. if you go to youtube you see there how to do.
i think you work with diga and diga sometimes don´t need to desolder but now i make a decision to desolder all, and clean the legs eeprom before connect clip.
i think dp3 and enigma not need to desolder but i think is not a safe work but some one correct if i´m wrong
good luck to your works

remove eeprom
hello,
don´t forget first try to desolder at old things before you go to real ones.
then desolder, with the knife clean the eeprom legs, put one clip, save save save save save and don´t forget to save the eeprom then adjust only if you see the right old value.
then solder the eeprom job donne.
good luck.
at first jobs don´t try to be the champion start with easy jobs.
look the posts how to remove the neddles it gonna be your first question.
and doubt ( I think )

and if you become an expert, no need to remove some eeprom
just short the crystal if the tools doesnt read without removing or cut some traces
and you can jump to another lesson, to practice on removing HCS12,908 and
some motorola mCU

And instead of looking in the grass like boy from Sussex,
you build yourself a little zif socket to hold the eeprom, then you can dance about and the eeprom is going nowhere!

I have dropped an eeprom in a pile of cement!
Our dog ate one off the floor once, had to tell the customer to wait a day or two until the eeprom was returned to us!
It was ok as well.

tnx to all of you.
you very help me and like almeida said even
when we tech we still learn new things...![]()
anyway tnx to all
If you are afraid to remove eeprom, be familiarized about the crystal oscillator
Short the crystal leg and clip the eeprom. this is the same way as you remove the eeprom
if your clip doesnt works use sw13 cable
solder it on some points, if you do not find the soldering points,
solder as the picture indicated below
go to any optical center and order an eyeglass frame that can easily
change the glass grades and you must have a sets of glass to enlarge your sight
The frame that the optometrist using to test your sight is a good frame
I am not recommend the magnifying glass because it will disturb your moving while you are soldering on PCB
