If the car is 2001+ you only need to remove the two large needles if you are going to clip to the eeprom. You can do this cluster from solder points on the back of the board. If you are doing this by removing the needles I don't recommend using two spoons! Tear a slit in a piece of paper, put it under the needle to protect the dial sheet, twist the needle anticlockwise and pull up at the same time. to replace the needle twist anticlockwise and push down at the same time. The needles come off the shafts very easily on this cluster. Use the spoons for stirring your coffee. Arthur.

you must put the neddels at the same position.
becaufull with this cluster because they have the key imobilazer inside.
if you damage the cluster they car not work more.
try to do more easyer cars if you damage the cluster, you bay a used one,
no problem.

Audi A4 Bosch - 24c08

The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0060: 00 15 00 15 00 15 00 15 00 15 00 15 00 15 00 15
where the next bytes:

00 15 - is a mileage

Take no notice of the previous post. All that is about the mileage locations in the dump. Your tool will do that for you and also if the car is 2001+ it is wrong. Before you start, note down the miles showing and convert this figure to kms. After you have read the eeprom your tool will ask for the current kms. Enter the figure you have and ok it, you will then be asked for the new kms. Enter your new figure (in kms) and ok it. the tool will then program the new figure but only to an accuracy of + or - 1,250 miles. The database uses steps of 4,096 kms about 2,500 miles. Arthur.

When putting needels back on the board, i read somewhere that, when they are attached on the board to twist them anticlockwise to the point where they suppousted to be at zero mileage and rpm? Is that correct?
