I need a complete procedure for BMW 328i 1997.I use Diga.

First you have to check the SW-Version.
ist it SW 23 or befor, or is it SW 24.

You can test this with the instrument:

Turn ignition off - press left button and hold !
Turn ignition to position 1 (only Radio position-not on !)
keep the left button presst - the instrument keeps in
"self-test-mode".

The Display shows numbers in the first line,
+ codes in the second line
Wait for the code shown under number 5 !

This is the SW-Version. For example:
Under number 5 in the fist line - the display shows in the
second line: 190 - you have SW-Version 19.

SW 23 or befor - you can do via round BMW-Diagnostic Port,
Choose Menue: BMW - 3er- e36 - diagnosis.

If you have SW24 - post here again.
