milesbetter Member Joined: 01 Aug 2008 Posts: 37	Posted: Sat Aug 02, 2008 9:37 am    Post subject: : bmw 3 series 2001 2001 3ser. the lkm is done diagnostic (above drivers right leg right hand drive) first. then remove ews and cluster the ews is fitted to the inner wing (small grey box the size of a packet of cigarettes) by two 10mm nylon nuts. Take out the small Compartment below the lamp switch and look forward and up at the inner wing. The cluster has 35080 3 and I do it clip to chip. the programming sequence I use is, kms. required in the lkm, ews to 316 kms. and cluster to zero. The key will update automatically on starting the engine after re-build (all available keys should be updated). Best of luck. Arthur.
