Hi all,

I have successfully programmed my cluster using 35080 programmer. However, with Carsoft 6.5 I am unable to change mileage in EWS.

Any idea why Carsoft won't allow me to do it? Auto is a 2004 e46

Mileage on the cluster is lower than ews mileage.

What can i do to change it? Any tricks?

merci

If I'm not mistaken Carsoft 6.5 is a diagnostic interface and not a mileage corrector tool; therefore it cannot adjust the value in the EWS.

Thanks for your reply Serge.

I made a mistake...I was trying to change it using PA Soft 1.3.6. So its not possible to do it via PA Soft either?

I have already changed the M35080 successfully and now the dash is sitting. Is there any trick to change it in EWS via PA Soft or another way?

I am just someone who is experimenting and can't affort a professional equipment like most folks here use. Frankly, I got what you folks call "Yellow Copy" Sad.

Nevertheless...this forum has really incited my interest in car electronics like never before!

Hello,
Since the keys read whatever value is transmitted by the EWS, and since the dealers read mileage primarly from the keys, BMW has made sure that it is impossible to alter the EWS value via diagnostic solution. I mean it's "theorically" not possible. Just like it is "theorically" impossible to alter the odometer of a dash that contains a M35080. Therefore the PAsoft (excellent software!) either cannot do that.
