Hi

I have a sept 1998 passat coming in and just wondering is it programable by diagnostics or do I need to take the dash out?

Menu:

Volkswagen - Autodetect


please choose the old VW-OBD Plug !

Thanks Zak,

Where is the diagnostics port located? Is it under the hand brake like the 1996/97 modles?

yes - under the brake.

if your Diga says: Programming successfull
but the new mileage is not shown in the display
you have to remove fuse number 9 oder 15 for
a few seconds !
