PMC Was that your last post or was the one before your last post? Make your mind up. How you do it does not concern me in any way. If you do it by diagnostic fine. Most people like myself with rosfar are quite happy to solder a few wires. As you will have read I work from home and have no need to switch on a laptop. I am not limited to time on a job so as a result I am seldom in a hurry. Rosfar suits me fine. also for quite a lot of the work I use basic programmers and I will only buy the updates I really need. For example I do a crypto Audi A4 by solder points. To me it is an unecessary update to be able to do it OBD. You see I have plenty of time. I realise time is of an essence to you, rushing from job to job, not enough hours in the day. That I do not eny nor do I envy the money you are making. you spoke before about bangers, and big money jobs which you prefer to do. I will tell you a true story of what you class as bangers. Where I live taxi's must be tested twice a year so to keep everything in orderthey must be seen to every six months For seven years, twice a year I did the same vectra taxi. At the time it was new it was a big money job and the last time I did it had in excess of 300k on it and indeed was a banger. But Iwas still getting the same money for it. think of what you charge for a down the spout vectra and multiply it by 14. also multiply it by, I don't know but probably more than 100 taxis in my area. the big money jobs of today will be the big jobs of a few years time. Like you I have young children. In fact I have both young and old, the eldest 40 and the youngest 5. I was working on digital clusters in 1990. BMW and Jaguar and I would be sure that some of the tricks, not all you use in the job will have come from me originally as there were so few people at it then and no forums, helplines etc. Good luck in what you do White Rabbit.

That statement doesnt make sense, if you are using rosfar to do micros you must have the need to switch on a laptop as rosfar hw requires it.

All new mercs are possible, very easy to do, and without the need for a can blocker, just replace the key module, we charge 750 quid for doing this and are currently doing a couple every week.

Sounds good, so what are the W221 canblockers you offer for sale on your web site for? and for those still waiting, are you still developing the software? White Rabbit.

Please read my reply to Captain . This explains how to use a can-blocker properly. I would have thought you would known already seeing as your "in the trade".

Here, saves you looking.
The way a Can Blocker can be used properly is like this;
Car has say 20,000 miles.
Adjust Cluster to 1000 miles.
Adjust service memory accordingly.
Fit can blocker.
Use car for the next 19000 miles and EZS will stay at 20000.
Take can blocker out and you have just had 19000 miles (free).
NOTE, The EZS will always show the highest ever mileage that was on the cluster regardless of having a can blocker fitted or not.
Regards

I would have expected a reply from Dashfixer to to a question put to Dashfixer, not by somebody who does not work for Dashfixer. White Rabbit.

Perhaps they are thinking of an answer. By the way I don't work for Dashfixer either but with all the help they have given to this forum recently I must admit I'm BEGINNING to feel a part of them. White Rabbit.

Sorry but you are wrong. You need to get in touch with Drew who works for Dashfixer or Dashfixer Drew who doesn't work for them but knows Drew who does. White Rabbit
