Hello

First I want to specially thank you for your quick answer.

I search in google the website of 3M and Warrick test suppliers.

But I don't find this product, maybe they don't put it with the keyword "clip"?

If you have a direct link it would be better and more clearly.

I am in France, I hope they ship to France.

Thank you.

Hello friends.

I buy the 3M clip and receive it.
It seems to be a good quality of clip, better than pomona of course, more resistant.
But it is not really the same physically...

I don't know how to do to replace the pomona with the 3M.
In one side of the 3M (left or right is the same) you have 2 connections on top, 2 connections on bottom, which one is the first, the second, the third etc...
Don't think that I am really stupid I just want to be sure in how to do it and don't make mistake.
If someone has got make a clip with a 3M can he send a picture please?

Thank you everybody.

I would not use 3m clips as they have too much spring grip, it can pull the
legs from the eeprom, trust me i have done it.
Done one with my dil lead, it was so strong it snapped the leg/

Thank you bannybasher for your answer.
I trust you because I see it that they have too much grip.
But the pomona is not better...

Until now I always disolder the eeprom and resolder it.
And you? what do you do?
I think doing it by clip only is impossbile!

I used to buy 3m and change the spring for the pomona spring, or cut the 3m spring. The trick with a pomona clip is to take it apart, lay the two blue sides flat and put a drop of superglue where the taper starts making sure it does not reach the contacts and let it dry. By the way I didn't learn that from dashfixer. It was before their time. White Rabbit.

Push out the hinge pin, lay the two blue clip pieces on a flat surface with the inside facing up. where the contact pins start to spread out to the connector pins this is where to put superglue. It stops the contact pins moving backwards and giving bad contacts. Sorry no photo. White Rabbit.

you can make an clip last if your careful. be easy when you clip on the eeprom. put one side on then be carefull putting the other side watch and do it slow. it will work first time,
ive seen some people stab at the chip , take time. it will work.
