Hi everybody.
Is someone ever had a problem of connection with his diga and this car?
And how do you recognize the dashboard VDO and the MM?
Normally we have to do it by connection to port OBDII so without removing the cluster.
I turn ignition on and I try to connect the DIGA with the cable OBDII.
First I try do autodetect the car, but doesn't functionned.
Then I try in choosing the menu Golf 4, before 2001, VDO diagnosis, but nothing, and to finish I try the same menu but with diagnosis MM, and nothing.
I think a problem with the car, or perhaps something else.
If someone has an idea I will be glad.
Thank you

check obd plug. also if the car has had an after market head unit
then sometimes the connection may have been cut. sometimes on vags
if an aftermarket headunit has been installed it can push 12v back to you box and blow it.
When i do any vag without original stereo .i never use my digi
i use my scan tool to check first.
hope this helps |

Thank you for your answer.
I think this car has got a problem because when I try in other same golf, or audi by diagnose, there is no problem.
So I prefer, and I choose to not touch this car...lol
Thanks. |
