hi
i think my obd cable is faulty
i have been trying to do my dads vectra 2001 via obd but once u enter milieage and press ok it just hangs
but a guy came with an orignal dashfixer / diga consult with the blue obd cable and he did it in 1 min?
could someone supply the obd pin outs so i could check and make my own? |

what kind of calbe do you exactly choose ?
If its a clon - the right cable is maybe "VW-Opel".
have you turned ignition on?
please be sure that car-battery is not low. |

the above can also affect, if power is low it can affect.
however i have found with a lot of clone units some of the cables were faulty, well made but faulty, ie ive seen some with the live and earth wrong way round pins 13 and 25, the odd few with k line etc wrong. there mass produced in china by people on 50p an hour, either that o they do it for a laugh.
i have an original and a clone as it was cheaper to buy a clone than upgrade my 3 yr old diga, i had to correct atleast 4 of my cables. you will also find with the clone kits there a few cables short, you wont have the lead to do the corsa c facelift onwards, or the galaxy 2000 onwards etc, also the cable for the mb obd2 is also missing in most clone units. there cheap for a reason however the units themselves seem to be good. |

hmm
here is the obd connectors i got:
obd2
chrysler diagnose
mb-service
vw can
can-obd-dm1
k-obd dm1
on the obd2 connector there are 3 wires going to the pins:
yellow = pin 16
black = pin 15
red = pin 4 + 5
there is a grey wire but seems it was not needed and has been cut rigth next to were the plastic is striped
ok in the vw can there are 4 wires:
yellow = pin 14
red = pin 16
black = pin 4 +5
grey = pin 6
would apprecaite it if u could tell me what pins are wrong
cheers |

| were yours is a clone you have any colour wires soldered anywere, so yo will need to check the d25 connection end, then chase the appropiate wire to the other and compare |

i might be able to rip a cable or two apart yes but not today
by the way with the clone units you use the kmd dm1 lead to correct most diagnostic |

yes. choose the k-obd dm1
it must be an older clon.
the latest come with cable "VW/Opel - OBDII",
but k-obd dm1 is also the right one for Opel and
older VW. |
