Please i need your assistance i suspect the processor and i don't know where to find it,please if you know the cause of this problem help me out .i have 15 years electronic engineering experience,if you can help me with the parts i will pay you and i believe i can fix it because in my country there's no cluster spareparts. this is the number of the processor 6432638M58FV and the odometer is in KM. Did you save the dump when you read the eeprom?
Did you still try to programme it when even it show wrong numbers?
Did you check what type of chip you reading?
Did you de-solder off the board to read the chip?

Hi
I did not save the dump,i did not programme the chip, i only read the chip without knowing the real number of the chip i select diferent honda models with my tacho dash prog. and no one that match with the original numbers. I did not remove the pointer from the dash because i'm afraid i only use a long needle attach to my ohmmeter and insert it between the board and the front plastic of the cluster to know the pins solder connections, and i got it. But i did not trace the crystal connection, And about soldering i did it well and i did not remove the chip.
Regards.

I do not like to elaborate your impulses. The most concern
is the #5 & #8 connection. If it's connected in the wrong
spot or reverse connection, anything unpleasand could
happen.

Hello

If you have interchange the connections of data out pin & data in pin,
This will cause to erase the chip, even you are in reading mode

regards

I don't think so.

To almadiga,
If the #5 & #8 connection are confirm correct. Go to check what you might
have loosen when you tried to probe the continuity to the back of the
board for your connection. Power-up your cluster on the bench. You might
be able to check the 5v+ & 5v- spots where you connect your #5 & #8.
