I have an BMW M5 E39 (Production January 2003 - USA Specification). (Spedometer is in MPH (miles per hour) and odometer in MILES. I'm looking for a smart tool that can change to odometer in KM and vice-versa. I don't want to make any corrections on odometer. The only thing I want is to switch to odometer display from miles to killometers and VICE-VERSA. I like the metric system too much but also I MUST HAVE the chance to switch it back to miles ONLY when I must do the emmission test, oil change or ANY other repairs and maintenance that is in connection with the odometer and IT MUST BE IN MILES!!!!! Does anybody can give me some ideeas about the right tool to do it (I would like to have an answer from somebody that succesfull did it before.) Once again I don't need to make any corrections on the odometer. The only thing I want is to change the display mode from km to miles and vice versa without that red dot to appear on the display next to the mileage. At this time my odometer is correct and there's not RED DOT NEXT TO MILAGE AND ALSO I DON'T NEED IT TO APPEAR ON MY CAR.Please reply!
