Where do I purchase a unit to do this ? Is it really hard ?

yes, it´s possible to correct the mileage on a mileage on 2006 GSX-R 1000. It is an eeprom programming, you have to remove and open the odometer and program the eeprom with a clip, but you need an odometer correction unit like the Diga-Consult to do this.

But that doesn´t count for only one model, the DIGA-Consult is a professional tool for service work! look here www.diga-soft.de

I have a GSX R1000 2003 and a local mileage correction man who has a digi consult reckons it can not be done as he can not find the eeprom on the board. Would you by any chance have a pic of where it is so he can do this or even the eeprom number?
